Holding an MBA degree from Tsinghua University, a Ph.D in International and Comparative Education from Beijing Normal University, a Post-doctoral Degree in Education from the National Institute of Education Science, Dr. Wei Wang has a wealth of experience in educational management. He is the founder of Beijing International Bilingual Academy, president of EduChina, executive director of ‘Show Yes’ Program Center, Chinese Coordinator of the China Education Institute of Columbia University on the ‘Growing Educators’ project. He has published books such as "Analysis of the Institutional Environment of American Educational Institutions" and "Research on the Realization Mechanism and Application of School Characteristic Development". Through all of his involvement in various organizations, he continues to advocate and pursue excellence in education for all.

He was the founder and Supervisor of the kindergarten and elementary school in the Hong Kong Institute of Education. He has also served as Academic Director of Logos Academy and Principal in a Direct Subsidy school in Hong Kong. Since 2014, Dr. Pang has been providing academic support to BIBA with his rich experience in educational administration and research.

Ouyang is the Head of Beijing International Bilingual Academy and the Vice Chairman of the International Schools Branch of the China Private Education Association. She has won multiple awards including the ‘Orchid Award’ in 2023 as one of the Top 10 Most Innovative Female Principals, the Tencent Education, Outstanding Management Influence Figure award in 2023, and also in 2023 was judged to be one of the Top 10 Outstanding International School Principals in China by Forbes. She advocates for the educational philosophy of "Love and Fulfillment," implementing this concept in community culture and daily management. She excels in integrating Chinese and Western teams, emphasizing a "flexible" and "loving" humanized management style. She also emphasizes a management mechanism that focuses on "getting the right people, streamlining the system, and creating a positive ecosystem.

Dr. Michael Bevis holds a Doctor of Education in Instructional Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, Florida, and a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction, Illinois, as well as Bachelor and graduate work in Social Work from the University of North Texas. Dr. Bevis has broad international expertise (over 26 years) in teaching and learning from K-12 to university, has worked in school leadership and development, and has led school-wide strategic planning and accreditation in multicultural educational settings. He has lived and worked in China for more than 13 years as a secondary principal at various international schools and as BIBA’s previous Deputy Head of School, he successfully lead the school to receive its WASC accreditation. Dr. Bevis is now Co-Head of School. Dr. Bevis has also worked in educational development and served on various WASC accreditation teams in multiple countries throughout Asia. 

Ms. Karen Zong holds a Master's degree in Education Operation Management from Beijing Normal University, she has a Teacher Certification, a career planner certification for middle school students, and an international standard psychological consultant certification. She has focused on international education for 20 years, and has rich experience in the administration, operation and management of international schools. Before joining BIBA, she served as the Executive President of the international business section of an education group and the Executive Principal of an international school. She was in charge of over 10 international high schools, and has done research on the trends in the operations management of international schools. She loves education and believes that education has a long-term impact. She aims to work closely with the BIBA community to build a school to spread, connect and share love, and create a school of love and happiness.

Ms. Liu holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in  Economics. After graduation, she worked for the Australia and  New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ Banking Group), engaged in marketing and brand management. During this period, she successively went to China Europe International Business School and HEC Montréal for further studies. 

Ms. Liu has extensive experience in education, having contributed to the establishment of the brand identity and cultural communication strategies at two renowned international bilingual schools in China. She is deeply passionate about guiding students to develop their literary and artistic competencies through cultural activities, thereby broadening their intellectual and spiritual horizons. In her previous roles, she successfully curated and edited several influential publications and initiated a series of liberal arts education programs aimed at enhancing students' cultural literacy. Additionally, she pioneered the highly regarded “Literature Playhouse” project, which created valuable opportunities for students to engage with both knowledge and the arts. 

Ms. Liu joined BIBA in November 2024, focusing on community relations, resource integration, and brand culture development.

Mr Peter Fremaux has been teaching and leading schools for over thirty years. Originally from the UK, he has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Newcastle, a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education and has also completed his National Professional Qualifications for Headship (NPQH). He is a trained facilitator for the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leaders and a school evaluator for the Council of International Schools.

Mr Fremaux originally taught and led schools in the north of England, including those with national reputations for teaching and learning. Using his experience of school leadership in the UK, Peter took up the position of Head of Secondary (Grades 6 to 12) in a large prestigious private international school in Dubai. During his time there the school saw rapidly improved results and during his final year, was named ‘IB School of the Year’ for the whole country.

Throughout his long career Mr Fremaux has always believed schools have three core aims. Firstly, to ensure all students gain excellent academic results that allow them to access the best universities. Secondly, to ensure students develop the learning habits and skills to allow them to thrive in a future world that is full of change. And thirdly, to help students enjoy their time at school, seizing the opportunity to try new things and create wonderful memories. Since working abroad Mr Fremaux has added a fourth aim: to ensure students develop as internationally minded global ambassadors, proud of their home country and keen to engage with people of other nationalities.

Dr Brown holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Liberty University, a teaching certification, a Principal Certification from the State of North Carolina and an ACSI Principal Certification. With 25 years of experience in the education field, he has held roles as a teacher, curriculum director, academic director, and principal in schools across North America, South America, and China. He is well-acquainted with the curriculum at BIBA, using a combination of standardized assessments and instructional effectiveness to enhance teaching and has built strong working relationships with the faculty and staff at BIBA Elementary. He understands and appreciates Chinese culture and strongly identifies with BIBA's values of love, family, and happiness, working closely with all the BIBA community to help the elementary school reach new heights.

Originally from Belgium, Katleen has been living in Beijing since 1998 and has worked in the educational field since 1999, initially as a teacher and later in education management. She took her Montessori training in 2012 from the American Montessori Society, specifically focusing on children aged 3 to 6.

With her rich experience in classroom instruction, developing curricula to suit international and bilingual language environments, offering professional development and guidance to teachers, and having a clear vision for creating a respectful, culturally rich, and inclusive educational environment, Katleen brings best practices in early childhood education to the Early Years department of BIBA, as well as forming meaningful partnerships with all the Early Years families and educators.

Dr Matthew Krakowski has been in education for the past thirteen years and has been at BIBA since 2021. He holds a Doctorate from Liberty University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Medicine and Movement Studies, a Master’s Degree in Athletic Administration, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Springfield College. Prior to working for BIBA, Dr Krakowski gained experience from a variety of roles and has been a Head of Department for Physical Education, Grade-level Coordinator, Student Well-being Specialist, Events Coordinator, Resource Director, and Athletics Director. Dr Krakowski believes in the philosophy of “Mind, Body, and Spirit” in the development of our students. The child is to be developed using a holistic approach, to guide our children beyond just learning in the classroom. With experience in experimental service-learning trips, he has a great understanding of how service-learning should be a big part of how students can grow as an individual. Here at BIBA, Dr Krakowski leads the student development program, event coordination, and other school-related PBIS systems.

Ms. Song Jing holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership in Practice from the University of Manchester and a Master's degree in Literature from the Communication University of China. She also holds multiple certifications in international curriculum teaching and management, such as, "Project Zero" and School Management and Leadership Certification from Harvard University. She has worked in international schools in Beijing, Shanghai, and South Korea for 15 years, and has participated in the founding of two schools. She served as the Vice Principal of a school in Shanghai and the MSHS Chinese principal in Beijing. Jing led the team to successfully obtain authorization and verification from international organizations and examination centers, such as IB, BTEC, Cambridge, Pearson, AQA, TOEFL etc. She strongly agrees with the BIBA educational philosophy. As Dr. Gu Mingyuan stated: being firm and unyielding like a pine tree; taking root everywhere like grass to learn; accommodating all rivers like the sea to get along with people; moistening things silently like a drizzle to work. 

Mr. John Michael Cuepo has worked in education for the past seventeen years and has been at BIBA since 2018. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management and a Master's of Arts in Education from the Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines. Prior to BIBA, Mr. Cuepo has handled different leadership positions such as International Programs Coordinator, Deputy DP Coordinator and CAS Coordinator. He is passionate about developing intercultural competence in students. He has led and designed various cultural immersion programs in different provinces around China (Yunnan, Fujian, Guangzhou), Indonesia, and Japan. Since joining BIBA, he has led the MSHS through the authorization process for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP). He has initiated, among other things, different procedures in the Middle School regarding academic honesty and academic performance monitoring. 

Ms. Deng Ning has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Nankai University in China and an MBA from the University of Akron, Ohio, USA. She holds a College Counseling Certificate from UCLA, Career Counseling Certificate from UC Berkeley, and Strength Coaching Certificate from Gallup. Ms. Deng has held the position of Director for College Counseling at several prominent secondary schools in China, and she has also served as the International Admissions Officer at a renowned liberal arts college in the United States. She has served as the only Chinese citizen on the International ACAC Executive Board from 2021-2023, and she was a fellow of the “Inviting Visitor Leadership Program” selected by the US State Department in 2016. In 2024, she was awarded the Counsellor of the Year for the East Asia and Oceania region by Times Higher Education and started serving as an advisory board member for this region.

Ms. Huang Yingxue holds a Master's degree from the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong and an advanced education leadership certificate from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She plays multiple roles within the International Baccalaureate (IB) organization, including IB MYP Workshop Leader, IB Programme leader, Visiting Team Member, and IB Reader, bringing extensive international education experience and dedication to advancing high-quality global education.

Over the past decade, Ms. Huang has accumulated a wealth of teaching and administrative experience in international and bilingual schools. She has deeply engaged in IBMYP teaching, actively promoting curriculum innovation by integrating modern technology and multimodal teaching approaches, helping students thrive in a global learning environment. She contributed a chapter to the book Practicing Teacher Ethics, edited by Liu Hui, demonstrating her profound understanding of educational theory. As a co-founder of the "One Seed Plan" WeChat account, she has published plenty of articles on teaching practices, methodologies, and educational philosophies, sharing insights and influencing a wide educational community. Additionally, she developed a secondary school character education course that blends national curriculum with Confucian thought, reflecting her deep understanding of curriculum development and cultural heritage. Over the past decade, she has focused on curriculum development, student growth, and teacher training, delivering numerous lectures both online and offline, benefiting many educators.

Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Love and Fulfillment,” Ms. Huang firmly believes that education should not only cultivate students' academic abilities but also emphasize character education and holistic development. She looks forward to working with BIBA to help students grow in an environment filled with love and happiness, becoming future citizens with a global perspective and humanistic care.

Ms. Xing holds a Master's Degree in Educational Management (Innovation and Change) from Australia Torrens University and a Primary School Chinese Teacher Qualification Certificate. She has won the titles of "Pacesetter of Teacher and Virtue" in Shunyi District, "Excellent Educator", "Mingyuan Award of EduChina Group" etc. Ms. Xing joined BIBA in 2010 and has extensive experience in international school management with a deep focus on Chinese education. For more than ten years, she has been committed to the cultivation of expert teachers and the construction of learning communities. She has also led the BIBA Elementary Chinese team to explore and develop unique, efficient and solid Chinese courses. She always believes that good education is to awaken students' thinking about real life and their vision, and unremitting pursuit of the future with love.

Ms. Grace Yang holds a BA and MA in English education from Northeast Normal University, China and an additional MEd degree in Education Administration from the University of Toronto, Canada. She holds the Certificate in International Comparative Education from the University of Toronto and TESL teacher's certificate for Ontario. Ms. Grace sat on the International School Accreditation Committee of the Ministry of Education and participated in school operation inspections and the accreditation standard revision process. 

Ms. Grace Yang has got nearly 20 years of working experience in international education at home and abroad, with a wide range of experience in curriculum development, education management and cross-cultural leadership. Ms. Grace strongly agrees with BIBA’s educational philosophy of love and fulfillment, and works closely with the BIBA community to develop a learning-centered educational environment.

Mr. Brett Searle holds a Master’s degree in International Education (IB Route) from the University of Bath and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Chichester. He is an active English and Mandarin-speaking IB Workshop leader, having led PYP workshops across Asia on Teaching and Learning, Assessment, Concept-Based Learning, Inquiry and the Environment, The Role of Maths, Transdisciplinary Learning and Making the PYP Happen. As a teacher (and China resident) since 2003, he has taught all age ranges of learners, from Early Years to High School, all within an ESL school environment. With 17 years of leadership experience, he brings a breadth of knowledge on curriculum development, pedagogy (inquiry learning and ESL) and assessment. He strongly believes in building strong relationships with students as the starting point in supporting all learners to be the best they can be. Mr. Searle is absolutely delighted working with the outstanding BIBA Elementary team to continue the school’s development.

Ms. Jessie Li holds a Master’s degree from Cardiff University in the UK, a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Endicott University in the US, and a teaching certificate. She has worked in international education for 19 years, with rich experience in teaching and Chinese curriculum design, as well as management experience in K-12 international schools. Before joining BIBA, she was the Principal of a K-12 bilingual school. She has unique insights in the management of international and bilingual schools and education development trends, and she is good at communicating between parents and school. She firmly believes that education should follow this rule: Nurturing the heart with love, nurturing people with love, and every child should be given equal attention and personalized guidance. Ms. Li deeply agrees with the educational philosophy of BIBA and enjoys working together with the BIBA community to create an international education environment full of love, affection for the family and fulfilment.

Ms. Laura Liu holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from Renmin University of China and a Master's degree in Education Leadership from Arizona State University. She has been deeply involved in the field of international education for over 20 years and have rich experience in human resource management. She served as the Senior HR Coordinator at ISB for over 10 years. Laura joined BIBA in 2018 as the Beijing Campus Human Resources Director and Regional Human Resources Director. 

Ms. Sheng Xing holds a master's degree in business administration from the Communication University of China and a leadership certification from Tsinghua University. Deeply engaged in the field of international education innovation, she has not only taught on the front line, but also engaged in management work in well-known leading enterprises for innovative education for many years. She has led teenagers of different ages to have rich learning experiences around the world and participate in international education projects. She has successfully led and implemented a number of new education projects, all of which focus on the relevant education system as high-quality content to help young people's growth, providing a total of 5,000+ teenagers with a complete educational product experience. She is good at the construction of content systems and the coordination and standardization of the implementation process, and has experience in content research and development, operation management and resource links.

Ms. Sheng Xing firmly believes that life will affect life! Therefore, as an educational work, while requiring oneself to become a lifelong learner, it is also necessary to constantly understand the actual situation of contemporary students and the world they will face in the future, so as to better match more suitable educational content for teenagers and combine the resources of schools with their own strengths. 

Ma Xiaowei has more than 10 years’ experience in International School Admissions and Parent Relations and Communications. She has participated in the establishment of two International Schools, and has vast experience in the development of International and Bilingual education. Ms. Ma graduated from Capital Normal University in German language and literature, and holds an MBA from Marburg University, in addition to a degree in Education Management from Beijing Normal University. Having previously worked in Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Shanghai and now Beijing, has given Ms. Ma a deep understanding of Eastern and Western culture and education philosophy. Working alongside her professional Admissions Team, she endeavors to support families in choosing the right fit for their child’s education meanwhile admitting the most suitable students and families to BIBA.  May the children feel love and fulfillment from the BIBA community.

Ivy graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and has extensive teaching and marketing experience in Hong Kong, Beijing, and other places. She has served as a teacher at Hong Kong International School with over five years of teaching experience, and ten years of experience in international school marketing operations. Education brand operations requires her to pay attention to the needs of students and parents, giving messages warmth and meaning, and establishing deeper emotional connections with them. The mission of brand operations is to bring a positive impact to everyone who comes into contact with BIBA, displaying BIBA’s educational philosophy to more families who have expectations for high-quality education.

Ms. Chen is qualified to teach Chinese as a Foreign Language, gaining her certificate from Beijing Language and Culture University and also has the Project Management Expert Certification issued by the American Project Management Alliance. She has years of experience in administrative operations and management in international schools and Top 500 international enterprises. Ms. Chen Xi loves education, she has a good sense of service and a high sense of work responsibility. She is responsible for the overall operation of the school's central office. She is fully responsible for coordinating school catering, cleaning, school buses, school uniforms, school doctors, etc. She leads the team to provide high-quality logistics support services for all teachers, students, and parents. Ms. Chen Xi has always been deeply attracted by the educational philosophy of BIBA. She believes that "education is the meeting of hearts, and life is the inheritance of love". She hopes that from the moment the student enters the campus, every flower, tree, and plant in the campus will be endowed with educational significance. Let children be happy because of us.

Ms. Cheng Baozhu holds a Master's degree in Management from China Agricultural University and has been engaged in finance in the field of international education for over 10 YEARS. With rich experience in overall financial operation management and audit, she very much agrees with and appreciates the educational philosophy and culture of BIBA. Ms. Cheng is committed to maintaining professionalism and compassion in her work, providing excellent financial support services, and ensuring the safety and security of the BIBA community.

With over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, including 8 years dedicated to K-12 international schools, Tan Hui possesses a wealth of expertise. His responsibilities involve managing and operating core network systems and educational applications to meet the diverse needs of students, parents, and teachers, ensuring they have the best learning experience possible. His objective is to provide high-quality IT services for children, enabling them to enjoy a happy learning environment.
